Well Cataclysm has happened and we are all well engrossed in its aftermath. For me that means I’ve leveled to 85, and am working on my raiding gear, the new reputation grinds, the new heroics, and leveling up my professions. I’ve gotten my Engineering and Leatherworking maxed out, along with Cooking and First Aid. Still a little to go with Fishing, and haven’t really started on Archaeology yet.

I’ve started raiding with my guild, and we’re currently second on the server for 25m raids.  I’m pretty excited about that!

So far, I’m loving the new way of doing things! I’m enjoying how hunter’s roles have expanded to include lots of CC in dungeons, it feels good to be actually responsible for more than just damage.  I’m glad to know that our hunter damage and DPS has balanced out in comparison to other classes, and I’m glad to be back to my favorite spec, Survival.

I still feel like focus could use some tweaking, but overall the changes are beginning to feel more natural the longer I use the new resource system.  It really does suck in PVP though, something definitely needs to be addressed regarding focus and PVP. I can’t just stand there all day firing Cobra Shot to regen focus like I do in PVE.

My favorite thing so far in Cataclysm so far is finding and taming Sambas! I love my cats, and am thrilled to have a rare cat that I can use outside of my BM spec.  Loque’nahak will aways be my favorite but Sambas is definitely my second favorite. I named him Aslan, as I’ve been a huge fan of the C.S. Lewis Chronicles of Narnia ever since I was about 9 years old. I’ve read those books so many times!
